Cosmetic and functional improvement of women's sensitive area

Imani Holistic Medical Centre - Gynaecology
Here at Imani Holistic Medical Centre, we provide you with the opportunity to do an extended examination with our regenerative gynaecologist Doctor Dionysia Koutsiouroumpa.

During your consultation check up doctor Koutsiouroumpa will do a pelvic exam to check if internal female organs are normal by feeling their shape and size. Afterwards she will do a liquid Pap test to check for cancer of the cervix, the opening to a woman's uterus. Liquid-based cytology is a different way to do a Pap test. In the conventional Pap test, the cells are collected and smeared directly onto glass slides, and they need to be fixed immediately; usually, using a spray fixative. The problems with this approach are that not all cells are transferred onto the slides, the cells are not in a single layer, the slides can be broken during transportation and the cells can be damaged until they arrive at the lab. In LBC, the cells are placed into a vial with a preservative, which preserves them for weeks and protects them from damage during transport to the lab. The slide, with the cells in a single layer, is prepared in the lab and not by the doctor or nurse.

Afterwards doctor Koutsiouroumpa does the pelvic ultrasound guided examination that uses sound waves to make a picture of the organs and structures in the lower belly (pelvis) that looks at the bladder and the ovaries, uterus, cervix, and fallopian tubes of a woman. Another strict examination is the clinical breast exam - to check for breast cancer by feeling and looking at your breasts.

We are trying to implement minimally invasive methods for the functional and cosmetic improvement of women’s sensitive area. Our exclusive non-invasive procedures help women treat the symptoms of the menopause and the heal the problems that occur after pregnancy.
